AICPA Has Called on the IRS for Relief in Response to Pandemic
In a March 11, 2020 press release, the American Institute of Certified Public Accountants requested the the Treasury and the Internal Revenue Service provide relief to taxpayers by considering the AICPA’s recommendations. These recommendations include automatic extensions of time to file tax returns, waiver of penalties and interest, and extensions of IRA contribution due dates.
